THETFORD RAILWAY STATION.......

Our new business trips take us to the most glamorous places.  A 45 minute wait on a closed up Thetford railway station with only the company of an avid trainspotter (mysteriously missing from the picture!) did not stop Sarah from carrying on business as usual.

POPPYMAN AND NELLIE!

Our new best friend, Poppy Man, has been out and about at the best places over the last few days including a little light shopping with the Christmas crowds in Oxford Street and inspecting the cars at the start of the London to Brighton Vintage Car Rally.  As he was a house guest for the weekend I decided he should not have a day of rest on Sunday so took him off for a spot of tin rattling on Sunday.  With difficulty I tucked him under my arm - rather like a scarlet Worzel Gummidge - and carried him up to a patch of pavement outside Daylesfords - Lady Bamford's upmakarket deli - in Pimlico.  I reckoned it might be rich pickings and it was certainly interesting!  Studiously ignored by too many butgenerously supported by others (one man, a dishy American, put a £20 note in the tin - we poppy collectors like note carriers, much less heavy!)

Meanwhile,  Nellie has taken a particular shine to the boy and even took him for a stroll in the park!

BRILLIANT PR - WELL DONE TEAM

St_pauls Poppy Man, the increasingly famous star of The Royal British Legion 2007 Poppy Appeal, is set to make a series of high profile guest appearances in the City of London in the run up to Remembrance Sunday .
Debuting in the atrium of the Lloyds of London building today, having already posed for the paparazzi on the London Eye, the Millennium Bridge and Trafalgar Square , Poppy Man is available for other personal appearances throughout next week.

Poppy Man rose to fame after appearing in this year's Poppy Appeal poster campaign to highlight the welfare services the Legion provides for serving and ex-Service people and their families.

For a donation to the Poppy Appeal, Poppy Man will attend parties, galas, seminars, take a seat in the boardroom or simply park himself in your reception for the morning to help greet guests and business colleagues. In return you'll be thanked and mentioned in his blog, which appears on the front page of The Royal British Legion's website.
If you would like to have the pleasure of the company of Poppy Man next week as the nation prepares for Remembrance, please call his diary secretary:  Alex Bailey , The SPA Way, 020 7403 6900.

Wobbly Will (or is that Willy wobble?) show it should be done on the fab Skorpian Quadline Skates.

WORKING TOO HARD.....................

Niki, who got up in the dark, only discovered at 3pm that there had been a wardrobe malfunction in the stocking department..............................!  But, we love her for it.
